Telling Lives is a new play written by Eric Northey. It tells the story of Prestwich County Asylum in the early part of the 20th Century. The play is based on the admission books of the asylum and details the struggles and the resilience of patients, doctors and attendants on the eve of the First World War.
Telling Lives will be premiered as part of Manchester 24:7 theatre festival, at Sacha's Hotel, between the 21st and the 29th July. (See our Facebook page for details.)
